Summary
A Banquet Captain at Birchwood will help plan, prepare and execute all banquet activities with a goal of ensuring satisfaction from guests and membership. This position would work with the Director of Catering and Executive Chef to determine event timelines, menus, and service standards. This position would have the responsibility of supervising and training a team.

Oversee setup and breakdown for all banquet events

Supervise and train staff and follow Team Guarantees

Follow all sanitary regulations

Practice FIFO Inventory control

Promptly and professionally serve member and guest food and beverage orders ensuring quality and accuracy

maintain full knowledge of food and beverage offerings

Anticipate member needs and ensure all service guarantees are met to guarantee a memorable and pleasant dining experience

Conduct daily line ups with service team to ensure performance excellence

Maintain communication with staff as well as management

Inspects all member dining areas for housekeeping and maintenance issues and take action prior to member contact

Take immediate action to correct any member satisfaction issues

Ensure all outlets are opened and closed according to established standards

Ensure club is properly secured prior to end of shift

Provide direction and leadership to all associates regarding operating and procedural issues

Ongoing and continued vision of excellence for all outlets

Work all positions of the banquet team including running, serving, bartending, busing, etc.

Read and execute BEO’s (Banquet event orders)

Ensure accurate billing of all guests including baseball sheets

Check identification of members and guests to verify age requirements for consuming alcohol according to State regulations. Limiting the over consumption of guests

Maintaining communication with the Executive Chef and Kitchen Staff
