Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Assist head Soccer Coach in coordinating, planning, organizing and coaching of the Gravette Lion Soccer program.
JOB DUTIES:
Provide leadership and instruction in the personal and athletic development of student athletes at Gravette Public schools.
Assist with the coordination of the activities of the Soccer Staff in the planning, organizing and coaching of the Gravette Lion Soccer team.
In tandem with the athletic director ensure compliance with all district and AAA policies and regulations.
Assist with the direction of the Soccer Staff in the preparation of analyses of opponent teams; analyze game film and tactical data of opponents and prepare game plans accordingly.
Counsel team members in academic, disciplinary and personal matters. Consult with the head coach, athletic director, building principal and superintendent of schools when problems arise that need their attention.
Recommend purchases of equipment, supplies and uniforms as appropriate to the head coach and athletic director of schools.
In tandem with the head coach and athletic director, work in various personnel functions such as hiring and transfer of Soccer Coaching Staff.
Study, evaluate and implement innovations in Soccer strategy and equipment.
Represent the Gravette athletic department in professional, civic and charity events.
Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment and facilities.
Attend and participate in faculty meetings.
Complete reports and paperwork on time and turn them into the athletic director.
Work to establish and maintain open lines of communication between students and their parents concerning both the athletic and behavioral development of team members.
Arrive punctually for all required activities and duties.
Establish and maintain cooperative relations with co-workers.
Maintain reasonable emotional stability, physical health and personal appearance.
Instruct individual participants in the skills necessary for excellence in the sport of Soccer.
Assist with planning schedules for the regular program of practice and work closely with the athletic director in scheduling interscholastic contest.
Enforce disciplined and sportsmanlike behavior at all times. Establish and oversee penalties for breach of such standards by individual students.
Represent the Gravette athletic program, Gravette Public Schools and the Gravette community in a professional manner at all times.
Oversee and direct the preparation of the practice facilities and game field for practices and interscholastic contest.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
