Your work environment at EXP
You will be part of the Environmental team within the Energy Group Sector, based in the Anchorage, Alaska office.
Responsibilities
Assists with NEPA/environmental impact analysis and reporting; permitting and regulatory application approval support and permit application development; and coordination with regulatory agencies.
Helps respond to client and regulator requests for information.
Independently researches and provides data and information to support the development of project plans and environmental analysis for permit applications.
Supports EXP environmental services initiatives such as development of carbon management services including greenhouse gas lifecycle analyses, mitigation, and climate risk assessments.
Helps identify and evaluate environmental and regulatory risk to client projects; provides information to help develop regulatory roadmaps and permitting plans.
Works closely with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) teams for geospatial data management, analysis, mapping, and reporting using GIS tools.
Supports the scoping and execution of environmental field programs performed by others, including wetlands, habitat, and ecology; fish and wildlife; cultural resources; subsistence; environmental justice and socio-community; air; water; and waste.
As qualified, may also perform wetland delineations, habitat evaluations for threatened and endangered species, ecological risk assessments, Phase I environmental site assessments, and other field program duties.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or higher in biology, natural resources, environmental science or related field.
40-hour wetland delineation training and related environmental certifications are a plus.
0-5+ years of relevant experience; experience providing consulting support on infrastructure development projects in Energy, Transportation, Mining, and related sectors is a major plus.
Must possess excellent communication and technical writing skills.
Agreeable to day and/or overnight travel to support business needs.
