
Equipment Manager

Fort Collins Country Club is seeking a highly skilled, motivated and detail-oriented equipment manager/lead mechanic to join our turf care team. This is a leadership position of integral importance to the overall success of the operation. The equipment manager reports directly to the golf course superintendent and closely collaborates with the assistant superintendents to ensure the golf course is maintained to high-quality standards.
Key responsibilities & attributes
Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program across a diverse fleet of equipment
Inspect, diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair of engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, etc. of all equipment associated with golf course maintenance
Maintain high quality, precision cutting units with regular grinding and adjustment schedules to ensure sharp units are consistently deployed
Perform daily field checks of quality of cut and equipment performance
Ability to communicate effectively with leadership team & staff; assist in training employees in safe operation and care of equipment
Positive attitude with a professional approach
Ability to think quickly, maintain composure, and prioritize needs in a fast-paced working environment
Order parts, supplies, fuel, etc. and keep an organized inventory to ensure timely repairs of equipment
Keep detailed service and repair records
Take pride in running a clean, safe and organized shop
Skilled in use of wide range of repair tools and equipment including welding and fabrication
Ability to work independently and take ownership of the job
Active learner with desire to advance skillset especially as it relates to mower and cutting unit set-up and calibration
