Process Mechanical Designer (Multiple Positions)
Perform design calculations for Water and Wastewater Treatment projects, including distribution and collection systems. Support vendor correspondence for equipment maintenance and design requirements. Prepare Design Reports for Water and Wastewater clients. Evaluate, select, specify, and engineer process mechanical systems or products. Support construction administration tasks: review shop drawings and requests for information. Prepare and revise documentation in various project phases, including facility layouts, diagrams, details, and assistance with P&ID development. Develop designs through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats. Participate in client project requirement meetings, value analysis, and basic cost estimating.
Work 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Annual salary ranges from $121,963 to $132,300. Discretionary bonus available.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of progressive post‑bachelor’s work experience; OR Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in the same fields with 3 years of related work experience.
Minimum 3 years experience with design calculations for Water and Wastewater Treatment projects.
Minimum 3 years experience with performing mathematical calculations related to engineering design.
Minimum 3 years experience with preparing technical reports and engineering memoranda applying process mechanical systems, hydraulics, methods, materials, and industry standards.
Minimum 3 years experience with Revit Building Information Modeling.
Minimum 3 years experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
Minimum 3 years experience with construction administrative services, including reviewing contractor submittals for compliance with specifications.
