Mechanic Floor – Facilities – Weekends – Rotating Shifts
The Floor Mechanic performs the general, routine, and preventative maintenance needed to keep these facilities running. Effectively responds to and documents all maintenance issues that arise on the unit(s). Performs minor HVAC electrical, painting, plastering, carpentry, plumbing and refrigeration repairs as needed. If complex problems arise, requests additional assistance to resolve. Maintains close communications with Patient Care Directors, Patients, Supervisors and Office of Facilities Operations Administration to ensure prompt and efficient response to requests. Inventories and maintains parts and materials needed for equipment on the unit(s).
This is a full time position located at our NewYork-Presbyterian/ Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Schedule
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00am to 4:00pm
Saturday: 4:00pm to 12:00am
Required Criteria
5 years of general maintenance experience
High school diploma or GED
Working knowledge of the trades
Excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred Criteria
Valid current driver's license
Salary Range
$54.15-$63.35 per hour
