Job Description
The Expert‑Level CNC Machinist independently sets up and operates advanced CNC machines, edits and optimizes programs, troubleshoots complex issues, and mentors juniors to deliver high‑quality parts on deadline.
Key Responsibilities
Independently set up and run CNC lathes, mills, and multi‑axis machines
Edit G/M codes and optimize programs for efficiency
Troubleshoot advanced problems and implement solutions
Train and mentor entry‑level machinists
Ensure quality, safety, and production targets are met
Qualifications
3–5 years of CNC machining experience
High school diploma or GED; NIMS or similar certifications preferred
Proficiency in independent setups and G/M code edits
Leadership experience in training others
Skills and Requirements
Due to ITAR compliance, applicants must be U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
Independent setup/operation of CNC lathes, mills, and mill/turn machines with proficient G/M code edits
Strong troubleshooting skills for complex issues and implementation of solutions
Ability to train/mentor junior machinists and ensure quality/output
Advanced blueprint/GD&T proficiency
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to perform repetitive motions with arms, wrists, elbows, and shoulders
