
Functional Analyst II

Job Summary:
The Functional Analyst II supports analysis, reporting, and operational assessment efforts related to military operations and organizational performance. This role is responsible for collecting, organizing, and interpreting data to identify trends, support decision-making, and enhance mission effectiveness.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Collects, analyzes, and interprets data related to military operations to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
Develops and refines learning demands and essential elements of analysis to support focused data collection efforts.
Utilizes the Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS) to document, track, and analyze lessons learned.
Prepares reports, briefings, and presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
Supports operational contract support (OCS) activities and related analytical efforts.
Ensures accuracy, integrity, and security of data and analytical products.
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support mission requirements and operational improvements.
Maintains current knowledge of best practices in data analysis, reporting tools, and military operational processes.
Assists in identifying and resolving data-related issues and improving analytical workflows.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office 365, and Adobe Pro.
Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex operational data.
Familiarity with military operations, trend analysis, and reporting methodologies.
Experience using the Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS).
Understanding of operational contract support (OCS).
Ability to develop analytical frameworks, including learning demands and essential elements of analysis.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of six (6) years of experience using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office 365, and Adobe Pro.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in collection, analysis, and trend identification of military operations.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience using JLLIS.
Experience developing learning demands and essential elements of analysis to support focused collection efforts.
Security Requirement:
Will require an active SECRET clearance, will sponsor a candidate if needed.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
