Contract Type: W2
Duration: 12 Months
Location: San Francisco, CA (Remote)
Pay Range: $80 - $90 per hour on W2
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Sr/Lead Information Security Architect, comfortable with exploring new areas and concepts, to lead the integration and security of commercial components into a Data Lake platform remotely. The ideal candidate will be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder, capable of clearing a background check, and able to commute to San Francisco for final interviews/onboarding. This role involves working closely with various teams to create secure cloud architecture designs, developing system threat models, and fostering a culture of security within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the production of system threat models for integrating commercial components into a Data Lake platform.
Review cloud architectures, propose effective security controls, and identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
Simplify complex security topics to facilitate decision-making and lead discussions with technical and business teams.
Consult with solution architects and development teams to align with policy, standards, and risk appetite.
Evaluate and assist in the maturation and security of CI/CD pipeline designs and operations processes.
Must-Have Skills:
Proficiency in AWS cloud architecture and security.
Extensive experience with system threat modeling.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex security topics for a wide audience.
Industry Experience:
Knowledge of and experience with cloud environments, particularly AWS (commercial or government), and familiarity with cyber security frameworks such as NIST 800-53 is advantageous. Experience with tools like Databricks, Starburst, Collibra, and/or Immuta is a plus.
