
Facilities Technician

JOB SUMMARY
The Facilities Technician will be responsible for assisting in day-to-day facilities maintenance processes. The ideal candidate will possess general and preventative maintenance services knowledge.
PAY RATE
$25.00-$30.00
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Assist with implementation of facility management strategies and daily operations
Support vendor coordination (escort vendors, verify work completion, report issues)
Assist with tenant requests and service issue resolution
Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance needs (execution side of inspections)
Perform basic maintenance tasks and assist with repairs (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
Support emergency response efforts and follow safety protocols
Assist with tracking expenses and basic budget-related documentation
Support compliance efforts by maintaining logs and ensuring work meets standards
Assist with capital projects, renovations, and tenant improvements (site support, punch lists)
Support office relocations (physical moves, setup, breakdown)
Execute facility security procedures (opening/closing, access checks)
Maintain maintenance logs, inspection records, and asset tracking (data entry + upkeep)
Assist with AV, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and low-voltage work under supervision
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
1+ years of preventative maintenance/maintenance experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Dexterity and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Ability to perform general building, plumbing, electrical, painting, and drywall repairs as needed
Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
Strong organizational skills
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds without assistance
