Java/PHP Developer

Austin, TX (Hybrid) Need local to Austin or close

Key Responsibilities
Perform web development tasks as part of scheduled IT releases.
Design, develop, and test Java full-stack applications with a focus on front-end delivery.
Develop and maintain PHP applications and solutions within the LAMP stack.
Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues.
Migrate and modernize applications and web content to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8).
Ensure secure coding practices (OWASP standards) to mitigate risks such as SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF.
Collaborate with web admins, Unix admins, and IT teams for system integrations and migrations.
Write and maintain technical documentation, including test cases and specifications.
Provide ongoing support and enhancements for internal and external client-facing applications.
Adhere to development standards, style guides, and compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
4+ years

of hands-on experience with Java (OpenJDK 1.8+), EAP 8, Spring Batch (2.1.8), and related frameworks.
Strong background in

PHP development

with proven experience in the

LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) .
Experience with

RHEL 6.x/7.x

and migration to

RHEL 8

environments.
Knowledge of

DB2 Database

administration and integration.
Expertise in web security best practices and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in GitHub (or similar) version control systems.
Experience with tools like

Squirrel SQL Client

and

Visual Studio Code .
Familiarity with

iText-2.1.5

for PDF generation and Red Hat CodeReady Studio.
Strong collaboration skills with ability to work across IT and administrative teams.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
