Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Finance Business Systems Analyst (BSA) for a 2+ month contract engagement. The ideal candidate will serve as a Finance Functional SME, specializing in General Ledger (GL), Intercompany, Costing, and Accounts Receivable (AR) modules. This role involves supporting production operations, resolving complex finance issues, and implementing process and system enhancements within Oracle Cloud ERP.
You will collaborate closely with finance stakeholders, technical teams, and business partners to ensure accurate financial operations, compliance, and process optimization - particularly in intercompany, costing, and COGS reconciliation scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional & Production Support
Act as the Oracle Cloud Finance functional SME for GL, Intercompany, Costing, and AR modules.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production support issues and system enhancements related to Oracle Finance.
Develop and deploy effective solutions for Intercompany (IC), Non-IC, and COGS-related functional problems.
Collaborate with business users and IT teams to resolve data discrepancies, incidents, and integration issues across finance systems.
Process Improvement & Best Practices
Identify opportunities to streamline and improve finance processes in areas such as period close, intercompany transactions, and costing.
Recommend and implement Oracle Cloud ERP best practices to enhance system utilization and accuracy.
Support month-end close activities, including coordination of data uploads, reconciliations, and financial adjustments.
Functional Expertise & Configuration
Provide expert-level understanding of Oracle Cloud Finance configurations, functional setup, and business rules.
Ensure alignment of system configurations with finance policies and operational requirements.
Partner with cross-functional teams to validate configurations and test system changes.
Finance Domain Knowledge
Demonstrate a strong understanding of core finance processes, business operations, and reconciliation between general ledger and subledgers.
Possess working knowledge of product costing, revenue recognition, excise tax, and COGS reconciliation, preferably within the liquor industry.
Participate in analysis of reporting requirements and develop solutions aligned with industry standards.
Collaboration & Communication
Work effectively with finance business partners, IT developers, and technical teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
Communicate complex functional issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with minimal supervision.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 6 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Functional Consultant in Oracle Cloud Finance.
Deep functional expertise in GL, Intercompany, Costing, and AR modules.
Proven experience in production support, troubleshooting, and implementing Oracle Cloud Finance enhancements.
Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud functional configurations and best practices.
Solid understanding of core finance and accounting processes, including reconciliations between subledgers and GL.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred).
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Knowledge of liquor industry-specific finance processes and reporting requirements.
Experience supporting product costing, excise tax, and COGS reconciliation in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Familiarity with Oracle integration frameworks and data validation processes.
