Job Overview

Coordinate and lead activities related to developing, executing, and auditing controlled documents in accordance with the site’s applicable Quality Management Standards, Industry Certifications, or other customer specified Quality Systems requirements and activities. Additionally, own the site’s training and competency program for production associates.
Responsibilities

Coordinate, conduct, and oversee activities related to ongoing improvement and compliance with the site’s Quality Management System and applicable Industry Certifications.
Generate, conduct, and oversee the execution of an internal auditing plan per the site’s QMS requirements.
Communicate audit findings and assist with the coordination and completion of applicable corrective actions with assigned owners.
Oversee document and records control, retention, storage (physical & electronic), and site access of all relative QMS documentation.
Coordinate and assist with the execution of management reviews in accordance to the site’s QMS requirements.
Assist with the coordination of applicable 3rd party audits (on site, virtual, or self‑audits).
Oversee customer specified requirements (i.e. material certs, inspection results, performance records, etc.) as defined by a Sales Order or other approved method.
Assist all departments with controlled document development and continuous improvement.
Own the Master Training Matrix for all production associates; ensuring associates are trained and competent for current responsibilities.
Collaborate with production supervisors to develop and execute cross‑training and development plans for key associates to ensure business continuity and execution.
Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required and a minimum of five (5) years quality experience in a manufacturing environment (prefer ISO or other QMS experience in a machining and assembly environment).
Associate’s degree, Technical/Business School Certificate, or Skilled Trades Apprenticeship and a minimum of 3+ years quality experience in a manufacturing environment (prefer ISO or other QMS experience in a machining and assembly environment).
Must have strong organization and computer skills with experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Advanced knowledge of Quality Management Systems, Standards, and Industry Certifications (ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditing Certification preferred).
1+ years’ experience with ERP Systems and NCR System.
1+ years’ experience utilizing conventional measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, microscopes and other types of inspection devices.
1+ years’ experience understanding blueprints and other documents that define product specification.
3+ years’ experience with strong root cause analysis skills and continuous improvement mindset.
3+ years’ experience with an advanced understanding of assembly methods.
Core Competencies

Support the site Quality Manager and functional team as needed.
Measure, assess, disposition, and contain (if required) suspect non‑conforming product or components.
Investigate/troubleshoot internal and external customer complaints.
Maintain records, certifications and documentation for completed inspections.
Ability to read and understand detailed instructions, processes, procedures, and manuals in English and communicate that understanding effectively as required.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English, short correspondence, and memos, such as supervisory instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and work orders.
Ability to effectively share information about job duties in one‑on‑one and large group situations with customers, clients, and other employees.
Provide tactical quality support to operations.
Must have strong oral and written communication skills across all levels within and external to the organization.
Must be detail‑oriented and able to prioritize workload as demands change.
Preferences

ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or equivalent (preferred, but not required)
Travel & Work Arrangements / Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must wear OSHA‑approved safety glasses, safety shoes (steel toe), and hearing protection when entering the manufacturing area.
