Job Overview
We are seeking an
Electronics Technician I (ET I)
for the flat ranges at our site at Melrose Air Force Range near Clovis, NM. This Primary Training Range (PTR) accommodates multiple training types and provides Service Class A and C range capabilities.
Responsibilities
Performing systems maintenance and operations of range systems and facilities.
Replacing components and wiring circuits.
Repairing simple electronic equipment.
Conducting test readings using common instruments such as digital multimeters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
Work Conditions
Climb ladders and work in elevated areas and confined spaces.
Work on high-voltage and radio frequency circuits.
Lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
Require physical dexterity, flexibility, ability to sit, stand, kneel and climb.
Overtime may be required to support operations.
Requirements
Associate’s degree in electronics or a certificate from an accredited technical school, or equivalent military technical training.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an electronics tech position (preferably with DoD range systems).
Ability to read and write English.
Basic knowledge of Windows-based PC operation and documentation of maintenance actions.
Experience with MST‑T1A / MUTES, MST‑T1(V) / Mini‑MUTES, Visual/IR targets, ground radar, satellite tracking/radio and antenna positioning systems, and high‑power transmitters using TWTs or magnetrons is a plus.
Must pass consumer report, driver record, and criminal background investigation.
Current driver’s license and ability to be insured through the company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work vehicles.
U.S. citizenship required; must obtain a U.S. DoD Security Secret Clearance prior to start date and maintain it throughout employment.
