Regulatory & Business Analyst – CIS Modernization Project
Location: Hybrid (Tues–Thurs onsite in Denver, CO or Minneapolis, MN)
Duration: Long-term contract (multi-year project potential)
Schedule: 40 hours/week (core hours ~9:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
This position supports a large, multi-year Customer Information System (CIS) Modernization Project. The initiative is focused on transforming billing and customer-facing systems across multiple operating companies.
The Regulatory & Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting regulatory inquiries, contributing to process design, and ensuring alignment with tariff, legal, and compliance requirements as systems evolve.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in daily standups, work sessions, and design workshops
Support discovery efforts and respond to regulatory and operational inquiries
Research and analyze regulatory, tariff, and legal impacts on new processes
Assist in process design and documentation during implementation phases
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners
Contribute to project deliverables in a fast-paced transformation environment
Team & Environment
Collaborative, cross-functional team within the Customer Experience organization
Work alongside internal stakeholders and major system integrators, including IBM, Accenture, and SAP
Fast-moving, highly visible enterprise transformation project
Strong emphasis on adaptability, communication, and teamwork
Required Qualifications
Experience in regulatory, compliance, legal, or tariff-related work
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Experience supporting large-scale transformation or system implementation projects
Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Utilities industry experience
Familiarity with SAP or Salesforce
Experience with tools such as Confluence and Jira
Background in large, complex organizations
Ideal Candidate
Proven experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or similar fields
Comfortable working in long-term, evolving project environments
Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and a change management mindset
Strong collaborator with the ability to build relationships across teams
