Active Ingredient Technician
Pay Rate:
$18.00 - $20.00/hr, paid weekly
Shifts:
Monday - Friday
Option 1:
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Option 2:
4:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Some weekends & holidays required, OT as needed
Location:
Athens, GA 30601
Duration:
7 months
Rabies shot will be required
Summary
Responsible for performing activities associated with the preparation of vaccine components in an aseptic cleanroom environment. This role utilizes virus and cell culture techniques in compliance with USDA regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform vaccine component preparation in a sterile, aseptic cleanroom environment.
Ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during all processes.
Assist in training and coaching both new and current employees on required skills.
Complete and review in-process documentation for accuracy and compliance in a timely manner.
Maintain technical data and supporting documentation.
Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs).
Escalate production flow disturbances as needed.
Demonstrate commitment to EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) programs and initiatives.
Support continuous improvement efforts (AAI performance standards).
Participate in site projects, including deviation investigations and change control processes.
Required Skills
Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail.
Knowledge of cleanroom environments and aseptic techniques.
Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
Basic math and troubleshooting skills for equipment and automation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Proven problem-solving ability.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred:
Degree in Biology or related field.
1+ year of laboratory and/or manufacturing experience.
