Required
Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Tallahassee, FL (required)
Experience with network administration (10+ years)
Experience with senior network administration (5+ years)
Experience with at least one of the following: F5, Palo Alto, VMware, or HyperV
Preferred
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio
Experience with PowerPoint and SharePoint
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following
Analyze and assess the network infrastructure and operations; develop standards, procedures, and documentation
Devise and recommend short and long-range plans for development and enhancement of hardware and production systems
Develop and enforce production standards and policies in conjunction with the senior network engineer and database administrator
Maintain audit compliance with state requirements of central data systems, user accounts, backup/disaster recovery, and security of the data center
Work closely with the Information Security Manager to develop and enforce security standards and policies for cybersecurity and NIST/Cobit 5 network security standards
Create and follow change management procedures for all network changes
Facilitate communication between IT units to build partnerships throughout the department and better serve customers in meeting business objectives
