
Research Contracts Advisor

Five-month fixed term role to review, prepare and coordinate research contracts, supporting researchers with compliant agreements.
This role plays a key part in supporting research and consultancy activity by ensuring contracts are reviewed, prepared and progressed efficiently. Based in our Research Innovation Office team, you’ll work closely with researchers, finance staff and other stakeholders to help agreements move smoothly from draft through to execution.
Some tasks of the role include:
Reviewing standard research and consultancy agreements using templates
Assisting with drafting simple contracts, variations and amendments
Coordinating inputs, approvals and documentation across teams
Tracking contract progress and following up to avoid delays
Maintaining accurate contract records and updates
Responding to contract‑related queries and providing clear guidance
You’ll provide practical contract support, keep documentation accurate and up to date, and ensure risks and requirements are identified early. This is a five-month fixed term role covering parental leave, based at our Lincoln Campus and works 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE). The salary for this position is fixed at $80,000 per annum.
Você will bring:
A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in contracts or research administration
Experience reviewing, drafting or managing contracts or contract documentation
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Confidence working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
Experience in a university, research, public sector or regulated environment (desirable)
