Senior Electrical & Automation Engineer

Senior Electrical & Automation Engineer responsible for integrating power switch gear, automation components, transformers, and branch circuit protection with motors, valves, filters, and sensors into high‑quality systems. Works on all phases of a project including concept and research, estimating cost, component selection, network design, panel design, layout, purchasing, device troubleshooting, PLC programming, HMI tagging, and FAT/SAT support. Provides solutions in collaboration with local Nestlé team, vendors, and corporate resources to meet project timelines and solve issues.
Project Management

Review User Requirement Specification (URS) and make necessary Electrical and Automation recommendations based on Nestlé standards.
Develop scope of work according to Nestlé guidelines and review bids accordingly.
Develop timeline and schedule to track milestones, parts ordered, and vendor commitments.
Design

Review or create electrical schematics with calculations and SISTEMA documentation.
Review or build pneumatic designs required for the projects.
Review or build control design and MCC designs with vendors, ensuring Nestlé standards are followed.
Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and track material delivery.
Understand P&ID and work with valves and instruments related to process areas.
Build Functional Design Specifications (FDS) based on process descriptions and interact with cross‑functional teams.
PLC Programming

Review or build Process Control Descriptions (PCD) and Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
Design PLC programs in Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens TIA, ensuring NEAT toolbox 7 compliance.
Create checklist for Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) according to Nestlé guidelines.
HMI/SCADA Development

Review or build HMI screens using Wonderware Software and NEAT 7.0 guidelines.
Create a simulation plan for SCADA functions such as recipe management, product routes, and CIP routes.
Collaborate with vendors to ensure HMI screens and SCADA controls are intuitive; work with operations team to achieve the same.
Other Responsibilities

Work with cross‑functional teams and develop action plans to facilitate E&A objectives.
Recommend and drive actions to build smart, cohesive systems for integration with other systems.
Lead standardization, cost savings, and manufacturing process improvement initiatives.
Streamline engineering processes by creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Provide support for process control/monitoring equipment software design, commissioning, testing, and corrective action.
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field experience.
3+ years of experience in Electrical, Controls/Automation, or Mechatronics Engineering roles.
Experience in the food and beverage industry preferred.
Expertise in drafting electrical schematics with power and control systems.
Experience programming and troubleshooting PLC ladder logic, structured text, and function blocks using Studio 5000 required.
Experience in SCADA and HMI programming using Wonderware software preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office products such as Teams, Outlook, and Project.
Training in industry standards like OSHA and UL requirements.
