About the job
As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi‑disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross‑functional partners across the company. Google’s Data Center, Compliance, Strategy and Risk Management team (CSRM) protects the people and assets of Google’s global critical infrastructure. In this Line of Defense (LOD 1) role you’ll collaborate with data‑center teams, sales, internal audit, and legal to develop a culture where security, risk, and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google.
Responsibilities
Lead end‑to‑end execution of onsite audits (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP) and prepare internal teams for upcoming compliance evaluations.
Drive tactical and strategic development of data‑center compliance programs by optimizing, creating, or deprecating processes to enhance organizational auditability.
Assess control effectiveness and document infrastructure‑specific requirements to ensure seamless alignment with global regulatory standards and internal policies.
Partner cross‑functionally to design and implement remediation plans for identified risks, verifying gap closures through follow‑up testing.
Serve as a subject‑matter expert on risk management and industry best practices, guiding teams on control implementation and security frameworks.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience in program management.
Experience in information and technology compliance and audit programs for hardware or software in mission‑critical environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or other related certifications.
2 years of experience managing cross‑functional or cross‑team projects.
Experience in large‑scale program management, change management, communication strategy, and general program management.
Ability to travel 30% of the time, as needed.
US base salary range for this full‑time position is $138,000–$198,000 plus bonus, equity and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
