Residential Maintenance Lead – The Summit at Mill Creek
Location: The Summit at Mill Creek, Lancaster, PA.
Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8:00AM‑5:00PM. On‑call rotation every 3 weeks.
We are looking for a residential maintenance lead to perform a broad range of technical building maintenance and emergency repairs at the community. The lead will be responsible for day‑to‑day operations of the maintenance department which includes overseeing apartment turns and painting, coordinating vendors, purchasing supplies, performing preventative maintenance, daily pool responsibilities, and completing work orders in apartment homes. The lead is expected to have working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, and painting.
Responsibilities
Be part of an "on call" rotation for emergency, after‑hour repairs.
Schedule, coordinate, prioritize, and perform technical maintenance and emergency repairs at The Summit at Mill Creek apartment community.
Oversee apartment turns and be able to perform duties as required.
Maintain and repair electrical equipment, lighting/power circuits, appliances, HVAC systems, and plumbing.
Repair drywall and painting as needed.
Troubleshoot, disassemble mechanical systems, replace defective parts, and reassemble as necessary. Conduct periodic inspections for preventative maintenance.
Maintain inventory of required parts, supplies, and tools.
Utilize assigned manpower to complete work orders and repairs on assigned properties.
Maintain required safety documents.
Interact professionally with residents, employees, co‑workers, and contractors.
Ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
Perform any other duties as required to support the owner’s goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Minimum of three years (3) of experience in residential maintenance or similar field including experience in appliance repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, and preventative maintenance.
EPA and CAMT designations are preferred.
Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle in legal operating condition.
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
