The engineer will collaborate with senior engineers, product, QA, operations, and partner teams to develop backend services, APIs, and integrations that meet customer requirements and support reliable, secure, and high‑availability environments.
This is a hands‑on software development role for an engineer with strong software engineering fundamentals and interest in backend development, APIs, cloud‑based services, and financial technology. Direct fintech experience is preferred but not required. Experience working with critical data, sensitive information, or systems with compliance expectations is relevant to the role.

Job Responsibilities
Develop software solutions that support engineering projects and meet customer requirements.
Develop, enhance, and maintain backend services and APIs supporting financial products such as payments, accounts, transactions, and digital banking capabilities.
Collaborate with senior engineers and technical teams to implement scalable, secure, and maintainable software components within established architecture and design patterns.
Build and support integrations with internal platforms and external partners, including banking APIs, payment processors, and financial services providers.
Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code following software engineering standard processes.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and defect resolution.
Assist with application monitoring, log review, solving, and resolution of production or production‑like issues in accordance with team processes.
Support CI/CD, deployment, and release processes as needed for assigned features and services.
Work closely with product, QA, operations, and partner teams to deliver features aligned with business and customer needs.
Create clear documentation for software code, APIs, workflows, system behavior, technical designs, and business requirements.
Apply secure development practices when working with customer data, financial transactions, and critical systems.
Continuously learn new technologies, tools, and financial services concepts to support platform growth and reliability.
Contribute to technology strategy by understanding current technologies and supporting business goals.
Present innovative ideas to improve systems, processes, or services based on industry research.
Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed.
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of related work experience OR advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required). Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science or Engineering (Required)
2–4 years Technical engineering experience. (Required)
Required Qualifications
Experience developing backend applications, APIs, services, or web‑based software systems.
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Kotlin, Python, Go, JavaScript, or Node.js.
Basic understanding of REST APIs, web services, and backend application development.
Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases, including basic querying, data modeling, or persistence concepts.
Understanding of software development fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, debugging, object‑oriented or modular programming, and clean code practices.
Experience using Git or similar version control tools in a team‑based development environment.
Ability to write maintainable code and participate in unit testing, code reviews, debugging, and defect resolution.
Ability to create or maintain technical documentation for code, APIs, workflows, or system behavior.
Basic understanding of secure coding practices when working with customer, account, transaction, or sensitive data.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Familiarity with microservices architecture or distributed systems concepts.
Exposure to event‑driven systems, Kafka, messaging queues, or asynchronous processing.
Knowledge of containerization using Docker or basic Kubernetes concepts.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, or release processes.
Familiarity with monitoring, logging, or observability tools such as Splunk, Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana, or similar platforms.
Understanding of security concepts such as authentication, authorization, encryption, secrets management, or secure API design.
Experience working in regulated, compliance‑driven, or sensitive‑data environments such as healthcare, banking, credit card payments, insurance, telecom billing, or financial services.
Exposure to fintech, payments, digital banking, cards, transaction processing, or banking partner integrations.
