We are seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant to join our team of dynamic healthcare professionals in Westchester & Bonx, NY!
In this position, you will play a key role in overseeing infusion care provided by nurses in our ambulatory infusion centers in Westchester & Bonx, NY, and via telehealth as needed. You will create and maintain individualized care plans for all patients referred to the center, ensuring safe and effective care during infusion procedures. You will also serve as the primary clinical liaison between the referring physician’s office and the infusion center, providing critical support to the team and evaluating patients’ needs throughout the treatment process. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering compassionate care in accordance with State and Federal regulations, as well as company policies and guidelines, all within your scope of practice.

Compensation

Pay Range: $79.00 - $84.00/hour
401K with Match up to 4%

Primary Responsibilities

Review and evaluate clinical information provided by referring physician offices and admit appropriate patients for infusion.
Evaluate newly referred patients and develop initial plans of care.
Monitor plans of care and make necessary changes.
Perform pertinent physical exams with assessment of normal and abnormal findings on new patients and confirm suitability for infusion.
Review all lab reports provided by the referring physician.
Request diagnostic and lab studies of the referring physician upon evaluation of the patient as needed.
Recognize situations that require the immediate attention of a physician and initiate life‑saving procedures when necessary.
Consult with the supervising Medical Director as is necessary.
Document infusion orders in the electronic medical record.
Dictate or document notes in the electronic medical record.
Secondary Responsibilities

Promote company quality outcome initiatives.
Delegate responsibilities to staff nurses on duty.
Follow company policies and CDC guidelines for infection control.
Carry out all duties in a professional and courteous manner.
Provide patient education and answer questions from prospective patients and referring physicians.
Enforce all HIPAA compliance guidelines.
Education and Experience

Current and valid state professional nurse licensure, required.
Graduate of accredited Nursing Associates/Bachelor’s degree, required.
ONC/ONCC preferred.
Current CPR/BLS certification, required.
Minimum of 1 yr IV experience, required.
Certification in specialty/CRNI (Certified RN Infusion), preferred.
ICU/ED experience, preferred.
Skills

Must have a current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant in the state in which service is provided.
Must have current DEA license.
Infusion, rheumatology, oncology, or neurology experience, preferred.
Minimum of 2 years working in a clinical setting, required.
Must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service skills and a commitment to prioritizing the comfort and needs of patients.
Intermediate computer skills, MS Office, and EMR experience — preferably additional experience working with telehealth systems.
Strong time‑management skills and ability to work independently.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, a high degree of professional ethics, and knowledge of confidential and regulatory compliance practices.
Prior experience working within The Joint Commission compliance requirements, a plus.
Active BLS Certification, required prior to start date.
Work Environment

The work environment is representative of typical ambulatory infusion care: exposure to medical equipment, moving machinery, fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals. Noise levels are usually moderate. Vision and manual dexterity are required. The employee may be required to stand, walk, talk, hear, smell, use hands to handle, or reach, and may have to sit, stoop, kneel, bend, or crawl. Safety equipment and PPE (personal protective equipment) may be required, including face shield or goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, and protective garments.
