Human Resources Assistant (Military) (Title 32)
As a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) (TITLE 32), GS-0203-5/6, you will provide assistance in administering the military personnel program for the Brigade. Major duties include:
Assisting in administering the military personnel program for the organization.
Preparing for and participating in command level inspections in the area of personnel and administration.
Compiling subordinate feeder information, identifying trends, and proposing recommendations based upon recurring required reports and/or findings of assistance visits and inspections.
Reviewing and providing recommendations for the assignment and utilization of military personnel in accordance with authorized manning documents.
Accomplishing or reviewing a variety of military personnel transactions including enlistments, separations, flagging actions, reassignments, promotions, duty assignments, transfers, medical evaluations, line of duty actions, security clearances, awards and decorations, retirements, etc., and forwards actions as required to a higher headquarters.
Providing technical assistance to subordinate unit personnel pertaining to applications for passports, and the publication of required personnel orders.
Providing administrative support for brigade level enlisted promotion boards.
Reviewing the status of all physical examinations within the command and making recommendations for scheduling and completion.
Providing assistance to the commander and staff pertaining to military personnel administration.
Providing information to unit personnel about benefits and entitlements, career and bonus programs, educational, retirement, and other benefits.
Providing explanations of regulations, methods, procedures, and exceptions involved in routine military personnel actions.
