
Production Designer/Drafter

The Production Designer/Drafter will participate in the concept and creation of structural designs that meet the technical requirements and schedule required by the client. The position will lead projects through the design and development process using CAD software.
Responsibilities
Design and draft stage structures and components for special events at request of clients using computer aided design system (CAD)
Read and interpret drawings and blueprints to obtain specifications
Establish deadlines, develop goals, and determine production standards for department
Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes
Work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment with all levels of the team
Provide project leadership by monitoring progress on projects and conducting design reviews
Anticipate and troubleshoot areas of concern and resolve issues
Work and communicate with all departments involved in production to meet client’s requests and project requirements in a timely manner
Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent experience
Minimum of 4 years’ related work experience; supervising a team is a plus!
Ability to analyze and interpret designs to apply proper assembly
Working experience with various materials and fabrication techniques
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with different personalities
Must have experience using Solidworks and/or Vectorworks
Proficient in computer programs including Google Suite products and other essential software programs
Ability to adapt to constant change
Must be a self‑starter and motivated to work with minimal guidance
Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment
Flexible schedule with ability work some evenings, weekends and holidays as required
Salary commensurate with experience: $75,000-$85,000 per annum
