Job Title:
Mechanical Engineer - Thermodynamics or Mechanism Design
What's the Job?
Assume engineering responsibility for component, module, or subsystem design from concept through manufacturing transfer and ramp‑up.
Perform detailed design and component layout, including BOM, drawings, and procedures for new or improved subsystems.
Lead and contribute to the concept, design, development, and testing of system modules and integration, including electro‑mechanical and optical‑mechanical instrumentation.
Identify and specify parts, components, and assemblies, ensuring quality and performance standards are met.
Work with key suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery of critical components and perform regular project reviews and updates.
What's Needed?
A bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Substantial experience as a system or principal engineer in a related industry.
Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Inventor, along with analytical programs for thermal, fluid, and structural analysis.
Knowledge of precision motion, loads, bearings, and low‑friction interfaces; familiarity with tribology is a plus.
Experience working with linear motors, magnetic field interactions, and managing cross‑functional teams and suppliers.
Exceptional mathematical ability.
