The Equinox Golf Resort and Spa is offering an immersive summer internship designed for students interested in resort management, hospitality tourism, or recreation leadership. This internship will allow students to gain real world experience in daily resort operations while working at a beautiful historic resort. This internship blends customer service, guest interaction and behind the scenes operational work.
Welcome guests with a friendly, professional presence
Deliver a fun, upbeat experience for families and kids
Assist with general guest questions
Provide informed knowledge about internal Resort promotions, offerings and amenities
Provide local knowledge about community activities ie: fishing, boating, and hiking.
Be knowledgeable of Historical facts of the Equinox
Own and lead the kayaking experience
Setup, takedown, store and clean all outdoor resort games and toys
“Own” and maintain cleanliness of the hotel foyer, lobby area, Falcon deck and Lincoln Lawn area – where most Resort lawn games will be displayed
Assist with keeping coffee station in lobby tidy through the morning shift
Wipe down front rocking chairs and Lincoln Lawn Adirondack chairs every shift
May assist with wedding/banquet setup and/or preparation for event

Compensation
This is an hourly position with the opportunity for part time or full-time hours and a potential starting wage of $18.00 per hour. Final compensation package offer is subject to change based on a variety of complex factors unique to each candidate including experience, education, skill set, and applicable certifications.

Able to work in a busy environment, multi-task and stay focused while maintaining hospitality.
Possess an active US driver's license
Essential Functions of the Job
Ability to remain standing or sitting for up to 4 hours at a time
Ability to walk the property and grounds frequently
Ability to move up and down stairs regularly
Ability to move quickly based on guest needs
Ability to regularly move and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to bend, kneel, or crawl
Ability to work outside in extreme weather for up to 8 hours.
Ability to communicate and exchange information effectively, often in a public/group setting
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Ability to drive both company and personal vehicles and furnish a valid, non-expired driver’s license
Ability to perform assigned tasks, operate equipment, and complete job duties in a safe manner
Ability to work flexible hours based on business needs including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
