CMTA is seeking entry‑level Project Engineer(s) passionate about hands‑on learning. Whether you are interested in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing and Fire Protection design—and you’ve had internship experience or are looking to gain experience—we have numerous opportunities dedicated to continuous growth.

In this role you will perform a variety of routine engineering tasks following detailed instructions. You will gain experience as projects grow in complexity.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing/fire protection systems based on field of study, using AutoCAD and Revit, for a variety of projects including but not limited to corporate interiors, facilities infrastructure redevelopment, and core and shell new construction.

Mechanical engineers will become familiar with HVAC load programs.

Electrical engineers will become familiar with electrical load calculations, feeder voltage drops, lighting control design systems, fire alarm system design, etc.

Plumbing/Fire Protection engineers will assist in hydraulic calculations for sprinkler system design.

Learn how to identify, select, and specify equipment.

Learn how to interpret national and local building codes.

Attend and assist in surveys and/or construction field inspections, along with the review of contractor shop drawings.

Be exposed to the shop drawing and submittal process.

Meet project schedules and perform work within budget.

Perform other engineering duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Mechanical or Electrical engineering; EIT preferred.

Knowledge of the latest version of MEP AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus.

Proficient in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite.

Starting salary $78,000
