Reproduction Veterinarian
Equine Medical Services is seeking an associate veterinarian for a growing reproduction practice. New graduates, recent interns, and seasoned practitioners are encouraged to apply. The position is based in Columbia, Missouri, in a vibrant college town with easy access to veterinary services and a supportive community.
Responsibilities
Manage client mares for TVAs and some breed-to-carries
Perform embryo recovery, embryo transfer, and transvaginal follicular aspiration
Assist with on‑site ICSI laboratory workflow (approximately 90% of in‑house embryo transfers) and help coordinate in‑vivo produced embryos (10%)
Provide primary clinic care, with occasional farm visits as needed
Compensation
Base salary of $120,000+ commensurate with experience. The compensation package also includes insurance stipend, CE allowance, paid vacation, PLIT insurance, license fees, association dues, and a fully equipped company vehicle.
Employment Conditions
Emergency coverage is shared among the EMS team; the practice is not heavily burdened by emergency calls. Start date is flexible: candidates may begin immediately or after fulfilling current employment or school obligations.
