Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance and guidance for cancer prevention and control grants and contracts
Track program and state plan objectives; maintain records and reports
Develop and coordinate health promotion/education materials and activities
Facilitate internal and external partnerships, including cancer coalitions and healthcare partners
Prepare, review, and manage grants, budgets, contracts, and funding recommendations
Conduct research, literature reviews, and evaluation to inform program planning and outcomes
Provide technical assistance to stakeholders and respond to inquiries from partners and the public
Position Qualifications
Option 1
Minimum 6 months experience providing direct service and/or consultation in a public health, community health, hospital, or clinic setting (e.g., program evaluations, working with grants, developing and presenting training programs, facilitating, collaborating with coalitions or groups)
Completion of graduate core coursework in public health, health care, health administration or related field
Must be able to provide own transportation
Option 2
Minimum 18 months experience providing direct service and/or consultation in a public health, community health, hospital, or clinic setting (e.g., program evaluations, working with grants, developing and presenting training programs, facilitating, collaborating with coalitions or groups)
Completion of undergraduate core coursework in public health, health care, health administration or related field
Must be able to provide own transportation
Equivalent minimum class qualifications for employment may also be accepted.
Additional Qualifications
Graduate or advanced degree in public health, health care, or health administration
Experience working in chronic diseases (e.g., cancer, cardiovascular disease)
Experience with chronic disease screenings (e.g., cancer, blood pressure)
Experience in identifying and developing stakeholder partnerships
Experience developing and presenting training or public speaking
Experience providing technical assistance or consultation
Experience working with grants and contracts
Experience working with confidential information
Experience with computer software (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access)
