The major clients that we advise include companies in the following industries: medical devices; consumer devices; transportation; construction; agribusiness; sports and recreation; cannabis; heat, ventilating and air conditioning; infrastructure protection and repair; manufacturing equipment; and electrical and fiber optic connectors.
Responsibilities
This position’s responsibilities include drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications in the fields of electrical engineering, computer science, and software‑implemented business methods; drafting and reviewing intellectual property and technology‑related agreements and licenses; and providing patentability, freedom‑to‑operate, and due diligence assessments.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor, higher degree, or equivalent in Law
7+ years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution in the Electrical Arts
Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Physics, or a related field, and/or relevant work experience
Excellent academic credentials and strong research, writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure, efficiently multi‑task, and act as an independent thinker
Licensed to practice law in Missouri

Our attorney compensation structure has two components: (1) a base salary and (2) a discretionary merit bonus based on performance. The salary range for this role is $200,000 – $250,000, based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. The range is an initial approximation at the time of posting and may vary based on the individual’s unique qualifications and experience.
