Job Description
This position involves selling Hologic's breast surgery products, including capital equipment, consumables, service lines, and technologies across the market. Responsibilities include developing new prospects, managing sales funnel and forecasting, providing onsite training and support for surgeons and technical staff, and creating regional promotional programs.
What to Expect:
Exceed sales forecast objectives for all product lines
Develop sales plans, gap analysis, marketing and educational programs
Present and sell Hologic’s value proposition to multiple stakeholders at all levels
Build trusted advisor relationships with key contacts and decision makers
Generate new prospects and establish customers
Manage sales funnel to track activity and provide accurate forecasts
Leverage cross‑functional teams across Sales, Clinical, Service, and National Accounts to optimize the customer experience
Demonstrate technology in operating room, pathology lab, and breast center
Provide onsite training and technical support during procedures
Attend corporate training, sales meetings, conventions, and in‑field development courses
Develop and implement custom in‑field promotional programs for regional customers
Provide feedback on product performance, competition, marketing practices, and customer satisfaction; submit special reports on territory operation, product acceptance, and competitive activity
What We Expect:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Experience in capital equipment and/or medical instrument sales; operating room experience preferred
Ability to develop a market for new products/technologies and surgical procedures
Familiarity with clinical/economic outcome data, reimbursement, and managed care policies
Experience developing and delivering professional education training courses for surgeons and nursing staff
Provide surgical procedure and technical product support in surgery and ongoing customer service
Track record of success achieving business results in complex, matrixed environments
Excellent problem‑solving and strategic skills; able to navigate and win complex customer opportunities
Proven negotiation skills with supply chain (capital sales)
High level business and financial acumen and emotional intelligence
Top performer (e.g., Presidents Club) and consistent revenue growth generator
Valid driver’s license and driving record; serviceable vehicle available for work use; overnight travel up to 50%
The total compensation range is $150,000 to $225,000; role is 100% commission based; final compensation depends on territory and performance versus quota
