ServiceNow Solution Design Lead
RGP (Resources Connection), Dallas, TX, United States
RGP is seeking a highly senior ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) Design Lead to support one of our healthcare clients as they evolve and mature their use of ServiceNow SPM. This role will play a critical part in helping the client envision SPM as a central source of truth for portfolio, demand, and resource management, while laying the foundation for long‑term optimization and scale.
This is an advisory and hands‑on leadership role for a seasoned SPM expert who has seen real‑world implementations, including roadblocks, and can apply those lessons learned to define a pragmatic yet ambitious roadmap. You will partner with client leadership to assess current‑state maturity, challenge assumptions, and design what “what’s next” looks like across phase two and phase three of their SPM journey.
What You Will Work On
Serve as the SPM design authority for a healthcare client early in its SPM maturity curve
Define and articulate a clear vision for ServiceNow SPM, aligned to enterprise strategy and healthcare operating realities
Assess current SPM capabilities already in place, including intake processes, training, resource capacity, and resource planning
Design and document future‑state use cases, expanding SPM beyond foundational functionality
Develop a phased roadmap, combining near‑term execution (“brass tacks”) with longer‑term strategic evolution
Lead ideation sessions and ask insightful questions to uncover gaps, constraints, and opportunities
Apply experience from past SPM/ITBM implementations to proactively mitigate risks and anticipate challenges
Define and evolve KPIs and performance metrics, including guidance on how measurements should mature over time
Advise on SPM plugins, features, and integrations, identifying opportunities to expand value
Partner with RGP and client stakeholders to ensure alignment between strategy, functional needs, and execution
Provide coaching and enablement to client teams to support adoption, confidence, and sustainability
What You Will Bring
Deep expertise in ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), including understanding of its evolution from ITBM (pre‑2022)
Hands‑on experience leading or heavily influencing at least one SPM/ITBM implementation, including navigating challenges and course‑correcting
Strong strategic thinking paired with functional and execution‑level depth
Proven ability to design enterprise SPM vision, roadmaps, and phased delivery strategies
Senior‑level program and portfolio execution experience; PMP certification strongly preferred
Comfort working in early‑stage or evolving SPM environments
Ability to connect how SPM capabilities fit together at a high level and how they should mature over time
Experience in defining and operationalizing portfolio KPIs and governance models
Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills
A consultative, coaching‑oriented mindset suitable for client‑facing healthcare environments
What You Can Expect
An inspirational place for you to do your best work, be engaged in meaningful ways, and continually develop the skills, competencies and qualities that set our team apart.
Compensation commensurate with your qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market and operational factors.
Total Rewards include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Professional Development Program, Paid Time Off and Paid Sick Time (in geographies where legally required).
