Your Future Team
The Salesforce Technical Manager, Consultant reporting to the Executive Director, Head of Software Engineering. The Consultant will serve as Salesforce Technical Manager and provide technical oversight and delivery governance across Hightower’s Salesforce ecosystem. You will collaborate across departments to review and guide solution design, validate technical architecture, identify and escalation design or implementation risks, and support resolution of complex technical issues.
This is a contract position onsite in Chicago, IL Monday‑Thursday, Fridays are work from home. The position offers base pay of up to $100/hour.
What You’ll Do
Bring deep Salesforce expertise to validate architecture, challenge weak technical direction, and troubleshoot complex solutions
Provide technical leadership and guidance to onshore and offshore development teams, ensuring consistent quality, documentation, and secure delivery practices.
Acts as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring design decisions align with best practices and long‑term scalability
Maintain a product‑focused mindset, prioritizing business outcomes over ticket execution
Highly motivated, proactive leader with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
What You’ll Bring
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
8 + years of experience in application development and architecture with expertise developing on the Salesforce platform.
Proven background as a former hands‑on Salesforce developer who has progressed into technical leadership.
Knowledge across Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), integrations, data modeling, and security architecture.
Strong understanding of Salesforce low‑code tools and how to strategically leverage them alongside custom development.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and complex enterprise environments.
Product‑minded approach with high ownership, proactive mindset, and a bias toward thoughtful, scalable solutions.
