
School Campus Security Officer

Position Overview
SENTRYSIX International is seeking highly professional and proactive Campus Security Officers to support the safety and security of educational environments. This position is responsible for protecting students, staff, and visitors through visible deterrence, active patrol, and rapid response to incidents.

Core Responsibilities
Conduct high-visibility patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking lots, and perimeter areas
Monitor and operate surveillance systems, alarm systems, and access control points
Enforce school policies, safety procedures, and applicable state laws
Respond immediately to emergencies, disturbances, and suspicious activityServe as a deterrent to criminal or disruptive behavior through professional presence
Control campus access and screen visitors in accordance with school protocols
Prepare detailed, accurate, and timely incident and daily activity reports
Assist school administration with emergency preparedness and response procedures
Provide security coverage for school events, extracurricular activities, and after-hours functions
Coordinate with local law enforcement, first responders, and school officials as needed
Identify vulnerabilities, hazards, and security risks, and report them through proper channels
Minimum Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must possess a valid Texas Private Security Level III (Commissioned) License
High school diploma or GED required
Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record
Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or professional security preferred
Required Competencies
Strong situational awareness and observational skills
Ability to remain composed and make sound decisions under pressure
Professional communication and report writing abilities
Knowledge of use-of-force standards and de-escalation techniques
High level of integrity, accountability, and reliability
Ability to engage positively with students, staff, and the public while maintaining authority
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to conduct foot and vehicle patrols across large campuses
Capability to respond quickly and effectively during emergencies
Ability to lift/move up to [X] pounds if required
Work Environment
Active school campus setting (indoor and outdoor)
Exposure to varying weather conditions
May require flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and special events
