Mid‑Level Research Scientist – Defense Systems RF Systems Portfolio
Leidos’ Defense Systems RF Systems Portfolio is seeking a Mid‑Level Research Scientist to join a talented team of scientists, engineers, and analysts supporting advanced radar systems research and development in a high‑fidelity modeling and simulation environment.
Responsibilities include:
Support M&S configuration, testing, and data analysis activities of radar and weapon systems to determine performance capabilities.
Demonstrate strong mathematical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills in support of analysis products and presentations.
Work with a team to find solutions to novel, complex, and non‑traditional questions.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field with 4 to 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s with 2 to 6 years of relevant experience, or an ABET‑accredited technical degree with 2+ years of demonstrated M&S experience.
Proficient in programming (Python preferred, MATLAB, etc.).
Must be a US citizen, possess and be able to maintain an active Secret Clearance.
Must be a resident of Huntsville, AL or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
Preferred Qualifications
Active Top‑Secret Clearance.
Radar/air‑defense systems M&S experience.
Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
Experience with large military networks (IBCS, CEC, C2BMC, etc.).
Knowledge of radar algorithms and techniques (search, track, discrimination, etc.).
Experience working in a Linux operating environment.
Pay Range
$87,100.00 – $157,450.00
