Position Summary:

This position serves as an expert in HealthPoint’s lean methodology and is responsible for guiding value stream work based on organizational strategic priorities. Facilitates cross-departmental improvement activities that involve target setting, innovation, development of kaizen plans, etc. Collaborates with senior leaders, health center leaders, and TPIO leadership to design breakthrough approaches for advancing the organization along the transformation continuum. Coaches and mentors others, both within TPIO and throughout the organization on application of lean methodology.

Compensation is dependent on skills and experience.

Your contribution to the team includes:

Value Stream Improvement

Guides the value stream team in developing kaizen strategy to attain future state goals.

Leads, facilitates, and guides various improvement events like week-long RPIWs, 1-3 day kaizen events, and PDSAs.

Coaches and supports key stakeholders to successfully implement the standard work using evidence-based change management strategies.

Conducts routine assessments to measure the effectiveness of improvement activities.

Education and Training Programs

Designs, develops, and deploys in-house education and training programs like Lean for Leaders.

Conducts routine evaluation of education programs using innovative methods to measure effectiveness.

Supports the delivery of training programs.

Serves as a resource to guide the participants in application of lean methodology to understand, run, and improve the business.

Improvement Infrastructure Support

Collaborates with the key stakeholders to ensure adherence to established standards for planning and conducting improvement events.

Performs routine analysis to help understand current performance in relation to set expectations.

Collaborates with business function leadership on improvement activities identified through value stream as well as non-value stream channels.

Communications

Routinely develops content for delivery through identified communication channels.

Maintains good attendance, is punctual and works full scheduled shift is a condition of employment.

Demonstrates respectful, professional, and appropriate behavior that supports a team-oriented work environment.

Demonstrates a commitment to the mission, core values and goals of HealthPoint and its healthcare delivery including the ability to integrate values of integrity, wisdom, creativity, cooperation, responsibility and respect into appropriate programs and services.

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Attend staff meetings, in-service meetings and participate in agency committees and task force activities as required.

Must have’s you’ll need to be successful:

Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare administration or public health or related field and five (5) plus years of experience in healthcare setting including three (3) years of demonstrated use of lean tools and concept for process and quality improvement and experience with successfully leading rapid process improvement workshops and kaizen activities which can be concurrent is required or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Master’s degree is preferred.

Advanced lean training or certification like lean six sigma green belt is required.

Valid Washington State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record determined by HealthPoint’s insurance carrier.

This position must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common industry related journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Ability to write reports and articles for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, clients, external groups, and/or boards of directors.

This position must have the ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Work situations are vaguely defined, often unprecedented, and unique in character. Problems are very complex, abstract, conceptual, and long-term in nature. There is a continual requirement for strategic, innovative thought and synthesis of information as it pertained to work situations.

This position must also have a working knowledge of project management, electronic practice management, statistical analysis and reporting software; advanced level ability with Word, Outlook and Excel.

Experience with Epic Electronic Health Records a Plus.

Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 is required, prior to start.

All new employees are also required to show proof of immunizations and/or immunity to MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella, annual Influenza and TB QuantiFERON Gold Titer .

Additionally, if you work in a HealthPoint clinic, Tdap (within last 10 years) is required. Hepatitis B. is required for clinical employees with potential exposure to blood/blood products. All immunizations are a condition of employment. Upon hire, employees must provide proof of their immunizations and/or immune titer results prior to starting or no later than their fifth (5) business day of employment.

If you are providing immunizations from an electronic health record, please ensure that you obtain a copy of your full records rather than a screenshot. Each page of your records should include your first and last name, date of birth, and the name of the health system from which the records are pulled.

If records do not show any data, please seek guidance from your provider for further assistance.

If you are unable to provide proof as noted above, you can choose to have a lab titer drawn to check immunity or to be re-vaccinated. If you receive vaccination(s) or lab titers, you may obtain them through HealthPoint at no cost to you.
