Location: Nashua High School South
Starting: 2026-2027 School Year
Salary Range: $49,000 - $100,386 Per Year (Contractual)
Qualifications: Guidance applicants must be NH certified or eligible as a Guidance Counselor
Summary of Responsibilities
School Counselors plan and implement a developmental guidance and counseling program relative to the student population being served. Provide guidance, counseling, coordination, consultation and referrals for services. Assist students with academic, emotional, social or behavioral problems, encouraging maximum growth and development; teach conflict resolution skills and aid students in acquiring an understanding and respect for individual freedoms and rights of self and others and an understanding of consequences for actions. Collaborate with parents/guardians, teachers, support staff, administration and any local agencies which might assist the students. Provide career education activities for all students, including current, up-to-date career awareness and development materials. Conduct regular classroom sessions and provide individual conferences for students experiencing academic difficulty, interacting positively, professionally.
