Essence Communications Internship Program
Essence Communications Internship Program is open to undergraduate, graduate students, or recent college graduates interested in a career in the media industry. Applicants must have a strong interest in issues pertaining to African American women. The program runs for 9 weeks and offers a stipend. Interns are responsible for finding their own housing.
Responsibilities
Provide on‑the‑job training in publishing and editorial roles.
Work within one department while gaining exposure to other areas of the company.
Maintain deadlines, complete projects, and meet internal expectations.
Qualifications
Excellent writing skills and strong attention to detail.
Self‑motivation, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Capability to submit a writing sample, photography, or related skills for the application.
