As a Transportation Supervisor, you will oversee driver owner/operator activities, including pick‑up and delivery, port interaction, regulatory compliance, customer service, reporting, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Dispatch and track port and store delivery and LTL drivers.
Collaborate with warehouse operations managers to facilitate efficient and profitable product flow.
Overall responsibility for efficient operation of dispatch, customer service, brokerage and maintenance divisions of the transportation department.
Efficient, timely and effective utilization and maintenance of assigned equipment.
Maintain expected service outlined in customer service level agreements.
Minimize driver turnover.
Maximize revenue per truck, minimize deadhead and minimize turndowns.
Minimize excess transportation and maintenance costs.
Maintain proficiency in trends and technology applicable to manufacturing activities.
Ensure maximum communication and coordination between dispatch, drivers, brokers, customer service and maintenance functions and company departments.
Respond to customer needs and report problems to the Transportation Manager.
Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA and OSHA regulations.
Follow and monitor port activity.
Additional Responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of trucking processes, technology, transportation, and supply chain management.
Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
Ability to assess problems, determine root cause, and work to resolution with a team.
Self‑starter: ability to work independently.
Functional experience in warehousing, transportation, and supply chain management.
Flexible work schedule; some evening and weekend coverage required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) at advanced level.
Qualifications
Two (2) years or more related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Annual Salary: $66,000 – $66,000 (based on experience, market data).
Eligible for annual bonus, commission, and/or long‑term incentive plan.
