What you’ll do

Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing and instock and inventory levels, budgeting and forecasting sales, and assessing economic trends and community needs.

Model and provide direction and guidance to Associates on proper Customer Member service approaches and techniques to ensure Customer Member needs, complaints, and issues are resolved within company guidelines and standards.

Oversee implementation and participation in community outreach programs and encourage Associates to serve as good members of the community.

Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center by analyzing and interpreting reports, implementing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls, overseeing safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews, developing and implementing action plans to improve performance, and providing direction on company programs and strategic initiatives.

Direct Vision Center Associates in ensuring confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records.

Supervise and provide development opportunities for Associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognizing and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.

Provide quality eyewear by consulting with and educating Members, selecting products based on Member needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repair, and maintaining optical equipment.

Uphold the company’s Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing company policies and procedures, and suggesting resolutions.

Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.

Identify and communicate goals and objectives, build accountability for measuring progress, identify improvement opportunities, demonstrate adaptability, and promote continuous learning.

Benefits
The hourly wage range for this position is $30.50 – $43.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses, and for certain positions may also include:

Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

Minimum Qualifications

Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.
