Grade Level Team Leader Job Description: 6th Grade
Be a positive role model, learner, and leader.
Be an effective communicator and collaborator with other teachers, school leaders, parents, and students.
Guide your grade-level in a goal setting process, which includes inter-disciplinary connections and grade wide academic and social-emotional initiatives.
Facilitate weekly grade-level meetings to discuss student academic and social-emotional needs, this may include organizing and leading family conferences (academic and social-emotional concerns).
Liaison for all student issues on the grade-level. This includes promoting and supporting restorative conversations between teachers and students, developing the family-school partnership, and overseeing any overarching concerns that impact a child's success. This includes working closely with the Clinical Team.
Oversee the grade level PBIS program, including the co-facilitation of a Climate, Culture and Community meeting with building leadership, with the focus to develop community building events, field trips and special events.
Actively participate in weekly planning and professional learning with other grade-level leaders and building leadership to discuss schoolwide needs and concerns. In addition, meet with the building leadership once per month to discuss grade specific needs.
Oversee, in collaboration with building leadership, the budget for respective grade-level. This may include allotting funds for student resources and materials and professional learning opportunities.
Assume other responsibilities as determined by the administration.
As a stipend position, work may need to be completed outside of the contractual hours.
