This position is referral eligible and currently qualifies for a NEW hourly location differential in addition to standard shift and holiday differentials.
Neuro Critical Care Unit Overview
The Neuro Critical Care (NCC) unit at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The 33‑bed unit cares for patients with brain injury, aneurysms, and severe strokes, providing emergency services and 24/7 monitored treatments to help patients recover from serious neurological conditions.
Responsibilities
Provide advanced neuro critical care and nursing management to high‑acuity neurological patients.
Perform neurological assessments, monitor patient status, and implement evidence‑based interventions.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and optimal outcomes.
Document patient care and facilitate accurate hand‑offs during shift changes.
Nursing Skills Gained

Qualifications
Associate of Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
May be considered if not from an accredited program only if more than two years of acute‑care experience; subject to approval by the Chief Nursing Officer.
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty.
