Overview
Golden Heart is seeking an experienced Lead DSP to provide direct care and support daily operations in a home‑like setting. This role blends hands‑on caregiving with staff leadership and administrative responsibilities. DSP Team Lead, providing Direct Care, and overseeing Support Staff in the home for clients with disabilities (intellectual or behavioral).
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Assist with daily living activities, personal care, and medication support
Supervise, train, and support DSP staff
Coordinate schedules and ensure proper staffing coverage
Maintain accurate client and staff documentation
Address client/staff concerns and ensure a safe environment
Participate in care planning (ISP reviews) and team meetings
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
2–5 years DSP experience + 2–5 years administrative/leadership experience
Strong communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills
Ability to work in a group home setting
Physically able to assist with client care tasks
