We are currently searching for an experienced Operator II to join our Construction Group team of talented employees! Operates a variety of equipment in asphalt heavy highway construction safely and efficiently to achieve production goals. Performs proper daily inspections, lubrication, cleanings, and maintenance to keep equipment up to operational standards.
Job Duties:
Operating a variety of equipment including motor graders, excavators, front end loaders, rubbertire backhoes, and dozers
Intermediate knowledge and ability to operate in the functions and limits of the type of equipment you are operating.
Guide placement of equipment, spotters, and trucks to perform the required task safely and efficiently.
Checking grades, yields, and communicating with QC smoothness and densities.
Keeps equipment and site housekeeping clean.
Assesses daily job and production plans for efficiencies and potential safety concerns.
Ability to use 3D automated machine controls
Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all equipment
Performing other duties on the jobsite when not operating equipment
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures
Individually lift and carry weights up to 50 lbs.
Push and pull weights up to 70 lbs.
Observe all safety protocol
Experience/Skills Required:
Must have minimum of 3 yrs. experience in the road or construction field, working outdoors in extreme weather
Be able to read, understand and write simple sentences, and perform simple mathematical equations
Equipment Requirements:
Must have experience operating at least three or more pieces of asphalt equipment, such as: paver screed, motor grader, front end loader, rubbertire backhoe, excavator, dozer.
Must be able to pass Required DISA testing!
Must Have a Valid TWIC Card & Basic Plus Required!
