Manufacturing Planner (Level 2) / Orlando, FL

You will be the Manufacturing Planner for the Production, Planning and Control organization, responsible for coordinating scheduling, make/buy decisions, and bill‑of‑materials planning to ensure on‑time production within budget.
Job Responsibilities
Coordinate with Procurement and Operations Management to determine time‑phased plans for procured parts, using MRP reports and follow actions in the supply chain to ensure materials are ordered and delivered.
Coordinate with Manufacturing and Operations Management to determine lot sizing strategies for make assemblies, analyze requirements, execute MRP plans by releasing work orders, implement engineering changes to assemblies, and provide timely status updates to meet operating schedules.
Qualifications
Minimum 2‑6 years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree acceptable); or 1‑4 years of combined education and experience.
Undergraduate or graduate degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.
Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
Past experience with Make and Buy Planning, manufacturing, and/or Make Planning.
Proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and ERP programs (SAP ERP preferred).
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS), and APICS Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification (preferred).
Ability to understand engineering drawings and parts lists.
Excellent communication, analytical, problem‑solving, multitasking, and organizational skills.
Experience in inventory control, material handling, dock/receiving/warehouse/shipping areas.
Green Belt training or certification (preferred).
Location: Orlando, Florida.
