Job Description
The Risk Management Supervisor is engaged in supporting multiple risk and global insurance programs. These programs include Aviation, Cyber, Property, Marine, Workers’ Compensation, Automobile, General Liability, Surety Bonds, and various Specialty Lines. Key responsibilities include compiling underwriting information for global insurance program renewals and managing insurance programs throughout the year. The role also involves significant participation in the annual budgeting process, cost allocation activities, and the ongoing maintenance of risk management content for the department’s Sharepoint and insurance support portals. The Risk Management Supervisor collaborates closely with functional teams and business units across the organization and regularly interacts with insurance brokers, carriers, claims administrators, surety providers, and risk control partners.

Collaboration & Leadership

Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders, brokers, actuaries, and insurers.

Work closely with finance, legal, HR, and operations to align risk management strategies.

Provide guidance to junior team members and support training initiatives on insurance processes.

Qualifications & Experience
Education & Certification

Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience

2+ years of experience in insurance program management, risk finance, or corporate risk management.

Experience with captive insurance administration, actuarial engagement, and insurance policy placement.

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of insurance structures, risk financing, and self-insurance programs.

Analytical skills with experience in actuarial reporting and financial analysis.

Effective negotiation skills for interacting with brokers and insurers.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects.

Proficiency in claims management systems, insurance analytics tools, and Microsoft Excel.

Work Environment & Conditions

Hybrid or office-based work environment.

Other Criteria

Internal Grade Level is a 20E.

Candidate must be located in the same geographical area as the position or willing to self-relocate.
