The Senior Analyst in the ABS Structured Finance Ratings team plays a meaningful part in evaluating credit risk and providing market‑leading ratings opinions that help shape global capital markets. The position is expected to advise on more complex analytical questions and larger transactions or client relationships when called upon by more senior analysts, using sound analytical judgment. The Senior Analyst contributes ideas that improve how the team works, including initiatives to increase efficiency and strengthen analytical processes, drawing on experience and curiosity to explore new approaches. The role builds relationships with peers outside the immediate team and helps connect S&P Global purpose and values to day‑to‑day work. The position also demonstrates emotional intelligence—remaining positive, focused, and resilient through shifting priorities, tight timelines, and analytical challenges.
Responsibilities
Analyze credit quality of collateral pools, reviewing performance data, credit models, underwriting criteria, and macroeconomic factors.
Complete end‑to‑end ratings processes for new issue transactions and surveillance of outstanding transactions.
Perform comprehensive cash flow analysis, synthesize results, and present findings in a timely manner to rating committees.
Review legal and operating documents to ensure criterion compliance and identify structural issues, providing feedback to external parties.
Actively manage relationships with issuers, intermediaries, and investors while effectively communicating S&P Global Ratings’ methodologies.
Prepare and deliver written and oral presentations to rating committees, making recommendations and participating in deliberations.
Influence and advise junior colleagues on day‑to‑day analytical and operational processes to support defined goals and consistent execution.
Deliver high‑quality work to deadlines by coordinating effectively across the wider team, including proactive communication on timing, dependencies, and work allocation where needed.
Support process improvement and efficiency initiatives, including identifying opportunities to streamline analysis, documentation, and recurring surveillance tasks.
Work effectively with incomplete or conflicting data, clearly documenting key assumptions, data limitations, and analytical options in non‑routine situations.
All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range: $100,909 to $140,000. Final base salary will be based on geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. (Applicable for US candidates only)

Basic Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience in credit analysis, including banking or financial services.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Strong proficiency with Excel, financial models, and financial data analysis.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly.
Strong understanding of financial markets and their relationship to S&P products.

Preferred Qualifications
MBA or CFA designation.
Experience in structured finance or securitization markets.
Previous experience with rating agencies or investment banking.
