Job Summary
Responsible for the oversight and management of the Project Management and Construction Engineering programs for the nuclear power station. Leads a team of Dominion Energy and supplemental project managers, engineers, control and materials specialists to ensure project results meet requirements for quality, schedule, and budget, and provides timely and accurate information and status updates to management. Supervises teams that interface between engineering and construction vendors, the Engineering Department, county and state agencies, and station departments such as Operations, Maintenance, Outage and Planning and Security. Manages the purchasing and expediting of materials to support construction, solves field implementation issues, prepares welding documentation, and controls digging, drilling and cutting permits. Projects span from building renovations to major system upgrades. The portfolio typically consists of more than 20 active projects with an annual construction budget over $25 million.
Responsibilities
Oversee project management and construction engineering programs.
Lead teams across engineering, construction vendors, and station departments.
Ensure project outcomes meet quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
Provide timely status updates to management.
Manage purchasing, expediting of materials, field issue resolution, documentation preparation, and permit control.
Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years of related engineering or project management experience, preferably in nuclear power plant engineering, project management, operations, or construction.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Design Change Process, Work Management Processes, and implementation of construction codes.
Ability to understand the functions of systems at a nuclear power station.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
OR
Reactor Operator, Shift Technical Advisor or Senior Reactor Operator (Naval Nuclear equivalent acceptable) and a Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field.
Working Conditions
Heat exposure up to 25%.
Operating machinery up to 25%.
Radiation exposure up to 25%.
Travel up to 25%.
Test Requirements
No testing required.
