Job Title: Applications Implementation Lead
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Applications Implementation Lead Engineer to support the transition from a large-scale, legacy file share environment into a structured Autodesk Vault Pro system and how it will translate into PLM & ERP applications. This role will focus on engineering, data organization, and standardization.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in managing design data, engineering workflows, and CAD file structures, and will play a critical role in transforming and maintaining a scalable, secure, and standardized Vault Pro environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the organization, standardization, and optimization of engineering drawings and design data within Autodesk Vault Pro
Manage the migration of existing drawings, revisions, and item data from a large, server-based file share into Vault Pro (post-implementation)
Establish and enforce file naming conventions, folder structures, and revision control standards
Develop and maintain the Item Master / Item Design Repository within Vault Pro
Ensure proper versioning, lifecycle states, and revision workflows are applied consistently across all engineering data
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to align Vault Pro structure with real-world workflows and usage
Identify and mitigate risks associated with legacy file share vulnerabilities, including duplication, version conflicts, and lack of traceability
Cleanse and rationalize legacy data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability in the new system
Provide ongoing support and guidance to users on best practices within Vault Pro
Partner with internal stakeholders to continuously improve data governance and engineering efficiency
Required Qualifications
5-7+ years of experience working with Autodesk Vault Pro or similar applications in an engineering or data management capacity
Strong background in CAD data management (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar tools)
Proven experience managing large-scale file repositories or engineering data migrations
Deep understanding of:
Revision control and lifecycle management
Engineering drawing standards and best practices
File structures and data governance
Experience working with shared drives / server-based file systems and transitioning to PDM/PLM systems
Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
Implementation and support experience with PLM/ERP/MES/QMS
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting post-implementation Vault Pro environments
Familiarity with data cleanup, de-duplication, and standardization initiatives
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, IT, and operations teams
Experience developing process documentation and user guidelines
Any experiencewith Agile, Syteline, Factory Track, and/or Propel PLM would be a plus
